Out, masked country music star Orville Peck hinted that he might have a Broadway project coming up – something that's "got interesting" lately though it's evidently early days still.

While "at an appearance Tuesday night at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles," the "Dead of Night" singer was asked whether he might have some ambitions for the Great White Way "[d]uring conversation moderated by Rolling Stone writer Tomás Mier," Variety reported.

The question is not far-fetched. "Peck trained as a ballet dancer while growing up in South Africa," Variety recalled. "Before launching a music career as a drummer in punk rock bands, he studied acting in London."

Peck has stage experience, as well. "He performed in a 2016 West End production of 'Peter Pan Goes Wrong' at the Apollo Theatre," Variety recounted, "as well as national tours of musicals."

As far as a stint on Broadway goes, "It's crossed my mind," the masked singer said in answer to the question. "Recently, it's got interesting."

According to a "source," Variety added, "the project is in the 'very early stages of development.'"
