Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are finally ready to make magic once again.

As reported by Variety, the two Hollywood stars are in talks to star in a sequel to their 1998 film "Practical Magic."

And after 26 years the chemistry between Bullock and Kidman as sisters in the film has not lost its magic, and apparently Warner Bros feels the same way because the studio confirmed the news in the most magical way: with a midnight announcement that plays on the film's "Midnight Margaritas" scene.

The first film, directed by Griffin Dunne, was adapted from a 1995 novel of the same name by Alice Hoffman. Akiva Goldsman will reportedly write the screenplay for the new movie, with Bullock and Kidman producing with Denise Di Novi.

Bullock and Kidman are also expected to reprise their roles as the cursed Owens sister, Sally and Jillian respectively, who were unlucky in love and unlucky in casting a spell to bring an abusive boyfriend back to life. Things worked out in the end, but longtime fans of the film have been absolutely aching to find out what happened to the sisters next.

In 2019, HBO Max was reportedly pursuing a "Practical Magic" spinoff series called "Rules of Magic" that has since been dead in the water. But Warner Bros seems to be bringing some version of the story back to life.
