Photos of the comedian, who recently came under fire for posing with a fake severed Donald Trump head, popped up on social media Monday. The images show a bald Griffin with her mother, who later tweeted that Griffin is a "wonderful human being."

People magazine points out Griffin took to Instagram in 2014 to announce that her older brother Gary had passed away after a two-year battle with stage-four esophageal cancer.
