Anti-LGBT 'Christian' Group's Facebook Page Gets Punked by Rainbow Flags

READ TIME: 3 MIN.

Who knew those Facebook Pride reactions would get such a reaction?

On the same day that the Associated Press reported that Roy Moore, the disgraced anti-LGBT candidate Alabama Supreme Court judge turned U.S. Senate hopeful, had his campaign Facebook page flooded with rainbow flag emojis, a radical Christian group has digitally declared war on the tiny digital symbol of Pride.

As reported by Progressive Secular Humanist, the Facebook page for Warriors for Christ issued a stern warning on social media. All those who react to any of their fire and brimstone posts with a rainbow flag emoji, will be banned from the page.

Word got out on the internet about the group's ultimatum, an overnight page has turned into a veritable pride parade with more rainbow flags than you're likely to see anywhere outside of the Stonewall Monument in New York City.

The group, which briefly took the Facebook page down, issued the following statement on it on Monday.

Public service annoucement (sic).

Despite all the lies and false accusations here we are not being hateful to any person. We also will not back down from proclaimimg (sic) truth of God's word.

Sin is sin period. Sin results in eternal seperation (sic) from God. Despite your lack of understanding of love, we here love everyone enough to speak the truth even in the face of so much hate.

So we speak the truth that sin leads to death, but we have a savior that can set one free from sin and give them a new life in Christ.

As the barrage of rainbow emojis continued to hit the page, the group issued the following prayer on their Facebook page.

Lord I know that right now many lost people are being sent here by the powers of darkness that control them to harass this page. I pray that when they come here that their eyes be opened up to the truth of your word. Your word is living and active and has the power to reach the heart. And even though these people are coming here as our enemies to hate us, I still pray blessings over them and pray you open their eyes to see the truth clearly. Satan has blinded many to the truth, but we come against any attack or insult or curse of the enemy in Jesus name.

After that prayer, the group was back on Facebook to issue yet another statement in CAPS. This one addressed the Christians who expressed outrage over the group's anti-LGBT rhetoric.

THIS IS FOR ALL OF YOU "CHRISTIANS" ON OUR PAGE WHO SOMEHOW THINK YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR JESUS BY CLAIMING IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE. WE JUST WENT THROUGH THESE COMMENTS AND POSTED "JESUS LOVES YOU" I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO GO THROUGH AND READ THE RESPONSES TO THIS SIMPLE MESSAGE OF THE LOVE OF CHRIST. AT LEAST THE ONES WE DID NOT HAVE TO DELETE BECAUSE OF HOW EVIL THEY WERE THAT IS. THEN ASK YOURSELVES WHO'S SIDE YOU ARE REALLY ON. WAKE UP! AS FOR THE REST OF YOU, KEEP ON SHOWING THE TRUTH OF YOUR HEART, SO THE WORLD CAN SEE WHO YOU REALLY ARE.....

That response had over 13,000 likes, 12,812 of which were expressed with a rainbow emoji.
