Last Tuesday, the GFLGLCC (Greater Fort Lauderdale Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce) presented their August Mixer at Valentino's. On Wednesday, Legends of Vinyl presented the 2015 DJ Hall Of Fame Seminar, Award Ceremony and after party at Hunters Nightclub. According to our Art Director Frank Mendez, "There were many pioneers of dance music in attendance and it was an honor to be in their presence."
On Thursday, SAVE's 3rd Annual Luminary Awards was at the Bacardi Headquarters and once again was a stellar event. Usually on Fridays I stay home and relax after a long work week, but this past Friday I ventured out to Alibi/Monkey bar to see my friend, DJ AJ Reddy spinning at the new home for Growl Fridays. I love the new dance floor and lights as did the crowd dancing... Congrats to Johnny and his team!
On Saturday, Salt This Way celebrated their Grand Opening, where they showed the people in attendance how they can help them on their path to health. There were also door prizes, raffles and special discounts. Saturday night I stopped by The Manor to see the Voi Toi Swimwear Fashion Show with celebrity DJ David Knapp spinning. On Sunday, we headed to Score for Dustin Refca's Electric Sheep Party, with that week's theme being Insane Clown. Sundays at Score is an eclectic fun crowd and features performances by TP Lords and Athena Dion.

Le Boy presents the Andrew Christian Hot Model Finals with $1,250 in additional prizes to be awarded including a photo shoot with Gio Photography and a chance to be the next Andrew Christian model. The night is sponsored by FabScout and Rock Hard and will feature Andrew Christian model Jacob Ford live in person.
Village Pub presents the Village Voice 2015 winner Michael Scott in "Don't Stop Believing" at 8:30pm, where Michael and his special guests will sing favorites of pop, rock and country.
Pride Factory presents a Swim Sale where you will save 30-50% on regular priced swimwear from today through September 2.

Filthy Gorgeous Fridays at Score presents "Geeks on Fleek," a back to school event starring DJ Mac and hosted by the Penny Back Boyz.
Chefs Up Front! is touted as a very unique dining experience, in which South Florida's best-known chefs prepare an entire five-course dinner right next to your table. This dinner, paired with special wine selections, is prepared for tables of ten diners in mind, meaning nobody will go hungry. Chefs Up Front! also works to ensure that children in Florida don't go hungry either. Chefs Up Front! will be holding two special dinner events in South Florida with the first one being at the W Fort Lauderdale on tonight at 5:30 p.m., and the second in Miami in September. Macy's department stores nationwide will be participating in the tenth annual Shop for a Cause event, which allows shoppers to donate to their favorite non-profit organizations and charities, and in exchange, they can come to participating Macy's stores and shop at discounted prices all day. Non-profit community service organizations that have applied to be a part of this event receive savings passes from Macy's, which they can sell to their members or supporters at the cost of $5. The non-profits get to keep 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these savings passes. Then, the people who have purchased these passes go to the specific Macy's location where the non-profit signed up. Shoppers show their passes when they check out, and they can receive 30% off regular, sale and clearance merchandise, and 25% off many designer brands. There is also a 10% discount on electronics, furniture, mattresses and area rugs with the savings pass. With the pass, shoppers are automatically entered to win a $500 gift card, and no purchase is needed to win.
Le Boy presents TP Lords live in choreographed shows with the Le Boy professional performers starting at 10pm.
Rumors hosts a "New Moon" glow party with giveaways and entertainment. The featured show is from 10pm to midnight with a surprise guest host.
Score presents Hilton Wolman's "Salvation: Big Top" starring DJ/Producer Joe Gauthreaux. They invite you to unleash the wild animal inside you as there circus only has hot human performers.
The Manor Complex in association with Alexey Roude presents Zone: Fuego starring Brazilian DJ Tiago Vibe and superstar dancers. In the Ivy Lounge and patio, Noche Latina Saturdays features a tribute to Latina Icon Jennifer Lopez starring Erika Norell and Elishaly D'Witshes. Doors open at 11 pm with no cover before midnight and only $5 after midnight for members and $7 for non-members.

Scandals Saloon presents the monthly Anastasia's Gospel Revival, a joyful celebration of Southern Gospel Music starting at 6pm.
White Party Week in association with Concrete Beach Brewery presents "Beats, Brew and Barbeque" at the National Hotel (1677 Collins Avenue) from 1 to 6 pm. They invite everyone to swim, sun and dance to the summer sounds of DJ D-Stu. This is a benefit for Care Resource and the $25 admission ($30 day of) includes 2 craft brews, 1 BBQ meal with condiments and chips. Tickets are available at WhiteParty.org

Today, is a very important day... it's my birthday... Although I don't celebrate my age anymore (no comments) I still take presents and birthday wishes... :-)
Rick Springfield, Loverboy and The Romantics will be taking the stage at Hard Rock Live Hollywood tonight at 8 p.m. They will be singing some of the greatest hits you fell in love with.
