A week ago Tuesday, the GFLGLCC Young Professionals Group presented a Networking Mixer at Dos Caminos Restaurant in the B Ocean Hotel. This was a kick off to their new weekly LGBT Night at Dos Caminos (every Tuesday). On Thursday, the Pride Center presented their monthly Founders Circle Mixer. On Friday, we went to the TransArt Exhibit at the LGBT Visitors Center on Miami Beach with about ten different artists from the Trans Community, "TransArt: A Celebration of Transgender Talent, Vision, and Possibilities." This is a fabulous exhibit and shows the diversity and talent in our community.
Saturday from 1 pm to 10 pm was the annual Stonewall Street Festival, this year produced by the city of Wilton Manors. The festival included a vendor exhibit, a parade (Brought to you by Hotspots Magazine) and lots of entertainment. Also, on Saturday, Magic City Casino presented their 3rd annual "Ultimate Miami Drag Queen," and the honors went to TP Lords, who was amazing. Congrats to my friend TP and the entire Lords Family. Also on Saturday night, the handsome Hunter Vance was back at the Floppy Rooster by popular demand, and he did not disappoint!

Blood, Sweat and Mouseketears starring Lindsey Alley at 8 p.m. at The Cabaret South Beach! During this memorable evening of booze, belting and belly laughs, Lindsey takes us on a comedic musical journey... and her hilarious quest for the elusive "Happily Ever After." Along the way, she sings some fabulous songs (including those Disney favorites that tug at your heartstrings), and spills some unforgettable stories (what Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are really like!). Brace yourself, as Lindsey puts her Disney image on the shelf and lets it all hang out... prompting her mother's unsolicited stock apology, "I tried. I tried and I failed!"
Helping Lindsey bring her show to the stage are local writer and artist David Sexton and renowned Musical Director Rick Leonard. Sexton is known to South Florida audiences as the creator of the hit shows "The Nature Of The Beach" and "It's A Fabulous Life," and Leonard is one of the most popular and well-respected musicians in South Florida, wowing crowds at Magnum and working with celebrities like Sally Struthers and Kimberley Locke.
