Miley Wanted in Mexico: Singer to be Fined for Disrespecting Flag

EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.

When will Miley ever learn that twerking south of the border is a no-no.

Miley Cyrus' relationship with Latin America continued to decline this week, when the Mexican state legislature requested that the federal government fine the pop princess for getting spanked on stage with the Mexican flag during an appearance in Monterrey, Mexico on Tuesday.

Wearing a prosthetic posterior, Cyrus did her signature twerk for the audience while one of her dancers spanked her gigantic thong-clad fake ass with the Mexican flag.

To make matters worse, she did it on Mexican Independence Day.

D-Listed points out that disrespecting the flag in Mexico is punishable by a fine of roughly $1,200 or 36 hours in jail.

This isn't the first time in recent weeks that the former Hannah Montana star has found herself in agua caliente with a Latin American government. In August, EDGE reported the government commission that oversees public performances in the Dominican Republic banned Cyrus from performing in the country due to her history of using ""inappropriate clothing, corruption of language, perverse images and lyrics, phrases with double meanings, glories crime, violence and degrading acts for civic worship, incitement to sex, lesbian sex, improper use of objects in public."

Cyrus' re-brand prior to the release of her album "Bangerz" has raised eyebrows from the media and concerns from parents of pre-teen "Hannah Montana" fans. Her onstage antics during her "Bangerz" tour have included an entrance sliding down a giant tongue, dancing with a superhuman sized inflatable penis, wearing a costume of bejeweled marijuana leaves, endless twerking, and video projections of breasts and vaginas made from pieces of candy.

A YouTube user captured Miley's flag spanking from Tuesday. The crime begins around the 2:21 mark
