A French public bus driver has been fired after spraying water on a teen lesbian couple for kissing, according to Gay Star News.
The driver stopped in front of a high school in the northern French city Nancy to pick up students around 5:30 p.m. on March 21. One of the students kissed her girlfriend before she boarded the bus, which apparently upset the driver, sparking him to allegedly remove the cap off a water bottle and dump it all over the couple.
According to French website La Parisien (via GSN), one of the teens road the bus to her destination, covered in water, before she talked to the driver before her stop. //m.thelocal.fr/20140324/bus-driver-douses-kissing-lesbians-with-water|French news site The Local> reports that the driver allegedly said he is "against homosexuality" and that she needs to get off the bus.
The teen reported the incident and the driver was fired after he admitted to spraying the girls with water. She also plans to file a formal complaint against the driver.
"The act cannot be tolerated and that's why the driver involved was immediately laid off as a protective measure," the transport service said in a tweet.
