DL1961 Premium Denim Runway Show Debuts at New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK, NY - For Spring/Summer 2013, DL1961 partnered with Nylon's Style Editor-at-Large, Dani Stahl, to style the show, as well as Julia Samersova Adler from E!'s "Scouted" to cast.
Guests included DJ Mia Moretti and electric violinist Caitlin Moe, British singer/songwriter Neon Hitch, model Jessica Hart, actresses Kristin Chenoweth and Jana Kramer, actor Chaske Spencer and reality TV personalities Simon van Kempen and Alex McCord.
Known for mastering the "perfect fitting jeans," DL1961 paid homage to the brand's New York City roots with a display of men's and women's denim, showcasing the latest in fashion-forward and trendsetting washes, prints and textures, as well as distressing, hand embroidery and leather accents.
The Spring/Summer 2013 runway show unveiled couture embroidery, cool metallic tones, muted pastels, a plethora of prints and a throwback to acid washed jeans, denim jackets and vests.

A long-term New Yorker and a member of New York Travel Writers Association, Mark Thompson has also lived in San Francisco, Boston, Provincetown, D.C., Miami Beach and the south of France. The author of the novels WOLFCHILD and MY HAWAIIAN PENTHOUSE, he has a PhD in American Studies and is the recipient of fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, and Blue Mountain Center. His work has appeared in numerous publications.
