Rooney Mara is ready to have breakfast at Tiffany's. The "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and star of 2015's "Carol" has signed on to play Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn in a new biopic for Apple, reported Variety.

Scant plot details have been released about the project, such as when and what parts of Hepburn's life the film will focus on. But there is a lot of source material to choose from.

Over Hepburn's four-decade long movie career, she achieved EGOT status, was a dedicated humanitarian and worked to help better the lives of children in Africa, South America and Asia, through UNICEF, and she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992 for her efforts.

What we do know is that Oscar-nominated "Call Me by Your Name" director Luca Guadagnino will helm the project, with Mara producing and "The Giver" co-writer Michael Mitnick as script writer.

Mara recently starred in Guillermo del Toro's "Nightmare Alley" alongside Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette.

Guadagnino recently wrapped production on his upcoming romantic horror film "Bones and All," starring Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet.
